Congress City
|
Bremen, home to the world famous Town Musicians, puts itself on the map as the pulsating, multifaceted heart of North West Germany. A popular hive of heritage, science, high technology and space industry keeps up breathtakingly pacy innovations. The 1,200 year old Hanseatic city has a unique quality that ensures a metropolitan city experience like no other – from from the UNESCO World Heritage marketplace with the guildhall and Roland statue as symbols for freedom and hanseatic market rights, the preserved Schnoor quarter dating from the 15th-16th century with original craftsman houses and stylish restaurants, the unique 1920s Art Deco style of the Böttcher street complex, and the nearby lievely Worpswede artist colony, to the rejuvenated Schlachte Promenade on the River Weser with numerous outdoor beer gardens and restaurants. |
